General Overview

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Superior customer service and technical skills with the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Highly proficient in the use of PC and Mac hardware and presentation software.
  • Proficient in the configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of A/V presentation audio, video, and control systems.
  • Military or public safety command post, operations or executive briefing center support experience.



At an intermediate to senior level, provides audio/visual expertise, support and operations at all board functions, including monthly Board meetings in Austin, out of town meetings, community events, customer meetings and town hall meetings.  Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion.  This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services.  Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems.  Works independently and receives minimal guidance.  Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members.

  • Operates audio/visual equipment, designs systems and provides maintenance services.
  • Provides expertise in determining audio/visual technical support and operations at all board meetings, committee meetings and other General Manager level meetings.
  • Provides audio/visual technical support and operations as needed at all meetings at LCRA facilities.
  • Provides coordination of all audio/visual presentations to Board of Directors at all board of Directors and Committee meetings.
  • Provides audio/visual recording, editing and duplication services, both internally and externally.
  • Operates, maintains and programs GOC CATV System.
  • Performs work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

Audio/Visual Technician II


One or more years of experience in audio/visual technology operations, sound engineering, information technology or other technical communications function.  A degree in audio/visual production, communications, information technology, sound engineering or other relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
Driver's license



Audio/Visual Technician Sr


Four or more years experience in audio/visual technology operations.
