General Overview

*We are filling one position however considering multiple skill levels.  This position will be open until filled.

 

From an entry to senior level, serves as a key contributor to departmental coordination of LCRA’s capital business plan.  In conjunction with other departments ensures that all capital projects have appropriate justification documentation, follows appropriate capital planning process and procedures and ensures the appropriate projects are integrated into the annual capital business plan.  Additionally, performs financial analysis to enable management to make an assessment of impacts and risks as related to the capital plan.  In coordination with other departments, leads cross-functional teams in developing the capital business plan.  This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services.  Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems.  Works independently and receives minimal guidance.  Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.  May direct the work of other staff members.

 

  • Serves as a resource to other LCRA staff and contributes to the capital business plan development and strategic plan development processes.
  • Leads and coordinates with facilities personnel the capital planning outlook and tracks all changes.
  • Leads department-level business plan development schedule and coordinates meetings with facilities
  • Leads the tracking of capital and large O&M justification (i.e., business case analysis, feasibility analysis and/or whitepapers).
  • Leads financial set-up for capital projects and business case and/or feasibility analysis (i.e., work orders and project IDs) in coordination with Accounting and facility management.
  • Leads the tracking of capital improvement plan determination, New Source Review, NERC compliance for all capital projects
  • Develops and maintains the tracking and documentation methods such as the Asset Management SharePoint site.
  • Responsible for tracking and coordinating with Accounting when modifications are needed to the fixed capital units list
  • Coordinates with other LCRA staff if strategic initiatives or capital projects affect O&M budgets.
  • Performs economic and financial analyses.  Assists in business case analysis and/or feasibility analysis to enable managers to make an assessment of impacts and risks of strategic related initiatives or projects.
  • Participates in strategy development by providing business and financial strategic insights and recommendations to management

Minimum Qualifications

Asset Mgmt Analyst I

Four or more years experience in a broad range of business or strategic planning such as capital planning, financial management, project management and strategic business support.  A degree(s) in accounting, business, finance, economics, engineering, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
 
Driver’s license

 

Asset Mgmt Analyst II

Six or more years experience in a broad range of business or strategic planning such as capital planning, financial management, project management and strategic business support.  A degree(s) in accounting, business, finance, economics, engineering, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
 
Driver’s license

 

Asset Mgmt Analyst Sr

Nine or more years experience in a broad range of business or strategic planning such as capital planning, financial management, project management and strategic business support, including three or more years of experience in a utility industry environment.  A degree(s) in accounting, business, finance, economics, engineering, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
