At an intermediate to senior level, performs mechanical maintenance in an energy services environment including troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment, mechanical and/or machine shop repair, welding, and remanufacturing of parts and equipment. This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services. Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems. Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members.

Two or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment in an energy services environment. A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
Driver's license required for incumbents assigned to the dam & hydro function.
Successful completion through Level II of the mechanic curriculum of the Power Plants’ Craft Qualification Program substitutes for two years of experience.
This position is based out of the Fayette Power Project near LaGrange but will require frequent travel to all other generation facilities.
