  • General Overview

    LCRA is looking for an individual to support Supply Chain procure-to-pay and inventory processes. LCRA utilizes the PeopleSoft Financials & Supply Chain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), as well as, Maximo Materials Resource Planning (MRP) Inventory Management systems. This position will directly support the business functions that fall within the procure-to-pay lifecycle, including inventory. A candidate for this position will have extensive knowledge of Supply Management processes including inventory. Only candidates with PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain, or equivalent systems of size and complexity, will be considered. Maximo experience and integrations with PeopleSoft or other ERP systems is preferred. Ability to fulfill financial reporting requirements is crucial to the success of this position; therefore, knowledge and experience with a multitude of industry standard reporting products is required. Specific job duties are detailed below.


    At a senior level, assists with the management of accounting related projects and provides expertise in the use of technology systems to support financial reporting business needs. This position may specialize in a particular business process and the related enterprise application (such as PeopleSoft, Maximo, etc.) or may be involved in the implementation of various applications to support multiple business processes. Develops partnerships with business work groups to identify financial reporting solutions. This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services. Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems. Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May direct the work of other staff members.


    • Provides financial and managerial accounting reporting assistance to business units (BU’s) in support of business activities. Advises and supports the business in areas related to future state financial performance and strategy development.
    • Determines and documents reporting requirements through the build of reporting by working with information technology staff to facilitate technical changes to systems or data.
    • Designs and develops financial reports, including the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Designs and programs ad-hoc reports for legacy applications using query and reporting tools.
    • Analyzes business operations to understand process strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate/improve finance processes and functions. Designs new or modified processes to enable technical solutions and process automation.
    • Develops accounting policies and procedures related to financial reporting and/or technology process changes.
    • Works to improve the quality of financial data to drive business decision making and performance.
    • May review managerial reporting presentations.
    • Summarizes and presents complex financial data.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Nine or more years of experience in developing and documenting business requirements and serving as a finance/accounting liaison between business partners and IT. A degree(s) in accounting, business, computer science, information systems or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
