At an intermediate level, performs mechanical maintenance in an energy services environment including troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment, mechanical and/or machine shop repair, welding, and re-manufacturing of parts and equipment. This position utilizes knowledge and experience in own discipline but is still building higher-level knowledge and skills. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from supervisor, manager and/or more experienced colleagues.

Two or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment. A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
Driver’s license required for incumbents assigned to the dam & hydro function.
Mechanic II position is Full time at the Ferguson Power Plant in Horseshoe Bay, TX. Position subject to call outs so prefer residence be 30 mins or less from the plant. Experience working on a 2x1 Combined Power Plant with GE7FA.04 gas turbines a plus.
